News Releases

IMPACT Silver Corp. ("IMPACT" or "the Company") is pleased to announce results from the first six drill holes in the Chontalpan Project Area, located 2.5 kilometers southeast of IMPACT's Guadalupe processing plant in the 623-square-kilometer Royal Mines of Zacualpan District, Mexico. This drilling is the first part of a recently announced 5,000 meter Golondrinas-Chontalpan-Cuchara (GGC) Sector drill program (see IMPACT news release dated July 27, 2010), in which additional background information and technical details specific to the Chontalpan Project Area were provided when drilling commenced (see IMPACT news release dated August 3, 2010).

Assays have been received from all six of the first phase exploratory holes on two drilling areas (see table below):

The Chontalpan Vein was the principal target of this first phase drilling program and consistently intersected mineralization in all six drill holes. The Chontalpan Mine Northwest (CMN) Drilling Area is on the immediate northwest extension of the vein in the large historic Chontalpan Silver Mine and the Loma Larga Drilling Area is defined by a silver-in-soil anomaly located 500 meters to the northwest. In addition, the Poblana Vein situated about 75 meters to the southwest of the Chontalpan Vein was also intersected in two of the drill holes in the CMN Drilling Area. In the Loma Larga Drilling Area, the Chontalpan Vein was successfully intersected in all three drill holes of this first phase program. In addition, significant silver values were obtained over short intervals from two splay veins that emanate from the main vein suggesting the potential for finding additional nearby silver-bearing veins.

Both drilling areas are open for expansion. Based upon the favorable results obtained from this first phase program, plans are underway for a second phase program to commence in the immediate future. Additional drill holes (again spaced at 50 meter intervals) will be undertaken to determine both the lateral and depth extent to the mineralization encountered to date, with the eventual goal to connect the Loma Larga and CMN Drilling Areas. Drill holes for the second phase program will include testing the mineralization encountered in drill hole Z10-10 (402.6 g/t silver over 2.14 meters) of the Loma Larga area further to the northwest along the Chontalpan Vein System.
