The project includes two operating silver mines, a 500 tonne per day operating plant lease and associated mineral concessions covering 124.5 km2 over most of the Zacualpan Silver District. Presently, the Guadalupe Mine, in the center of the district, and the high grade Compadres Mine, in the southeastern part of the district, together ship approximately 200 tonnes per day to the central processing plant. IMPACT's plans call for continuing production while simultaneously carrying out plans to upgrade operations to modern standards. Details on IMPACT's production and exploration work on the project will be provided in future news releases.
The total consideration paid to the shareholders of MPZ was the issuance of 300,000 shares of IMPACT and the payment of US$1,840,778. The 200,000 shares of IMPACT previously issued to, and owned by, MPZ under the original contract of purchase and sale are now being returned to the treasury of IMPACT.
The shares issued to the shareholders of MPZ on closing are subject to a hold period and may not be traded in British Columbia until May 17, 2006 except as permitted by the Securities Act (British Columbia), the Rules made thereunder and the TSX Venture Exchange.
